Spring Brown Trout

Spring time brown trout fishing can be a blast even if the weather doesn't cooperate. For spring browns we will be trolling the lake shore with plugs and flies. There's even a possibility of catching a salmon. Weather can be very cold this time of year as winter fights to give way to spring. If lake conditions make us unable to fish for browns then we will head to the rivers to fish for drop-back steelhead, smallmouth and Atlantic salmon.

Season begins around March 15th but winter ice may prolong start of the season.

Trips for browns are in a boat and on the lake. If we get blown off the lake then there are many options for fishing for other species including the Douglaston Salmon Run (best opportunity for catching smallmouth, pike and atlantic salmon)
